Horror shows us that the control we believe we have is purely illusory, and that every moment we teeter on chaos and oblivion.  ― Clive Barker

Welcome to the eighth episode of The Horror Express.  The show where anything can happen and usually does.  On this episode we return to a fan favorite and talk about ghosts and ghost hunting. Now to have just Jason and I talk on the subject would just be a remake and we all hate remakes. So, Jason and I went out and invited a real Ghost Hunter, Sylvia Shults, to join us. She has written two books on the subject Fractured Spirits: Hauntings at the Peoria State Hospital and Ghosts of the Illinois River

Sylvia Shults has been writing for years, and recently made the switch from fiction to nonfiction. Following a lifetime spent in the pursuit of the weird and the strange, she now shares that passion with her readers. Her fiction (both horror and romance) is still floating around out there, but these days she concentrates on living a childhood dream -- telling true ghost stories. In her spare time, Shults gets more material for her books by going on paranormal investigations. She wanders around cemeteries and sits in haunted morgues so you don't have to. She is much in demand as a speaker, and has made many media appearances in addition to a spot on Ghost Hunters. If that was not enough Sylvia also has her own paranormal podcast called lights out.

What would a Horror Express be without trouble from the conductor and his friends? Jason and I tried to avoid that by sneaking Sylvia aboard. We had a great plan, but did it work? Listen to this episode of the show to find out.
