On the program this week we have an Orson Welles edition of The Shadow, continue with our new segment called “Tweets of the week” and of course review the latest news.

The Shadow was a creation of the 1930s pulp novels. He first debuted on radio on July 31, 1930 as the mysterious narrator of the OTR series “The Detective Story Hour”. On September 26, 1937, The Shadow’s radio drama premiered with the story "The Deathhouse Rescue".  We aired that episode as part of our American Icon series in episode #116 of Ron’s Amazing Stories. The program aired from 1937 to 1954.

The story we have today is called, Murders in Wax and is a “Who done it?” Don’t let the name fool into thinking this one is your run of the mill wax museum thriller. It is actually quite original. It first aired in July 6th 1937.
