After all the work that went into the podcast move I decided to take the week off for Thanksgiving. Not to worry I do have a podcast for you. I am going to replay an old show from 2012. It is an interview I did with LDC Fitzgerald. They came to the podcast to talk about their work of fiction on the Kennedy assassination. At the time the book was called Destination Dealey: Countdown to the Kennedy Conspiracy. It was recently retiled to Saving Jackie K to re-promote it during last’s week’s fiftieth anniversary of the event.
The book Saving Jackie K is a work of fiction, but uses true events and people to tell the story from a whole new perspective. You can read the daring novel that flips the JFK Assassination on its head! The story opens in a world where KGB snipers botched the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dealey Plaza fifty years ago, killing his wife Jackie instead. The heinous crime enrages Americans and triggers an ongoing war with Russia. In present day, the two superpowers are hell-bent on annihilating each other. A team of outlaws time-travels back to 1963 to fix history. To save the future, they must right the wrongs of the past. But, their plans may go awry . . .
All the events count down as a ticking clock to November 22, 1963. To Ground Zero of the assassination: Dealey Plaza in Dallas TX.
Thanks so much for the re-broadcast of the interview with the authors of "Saving Jackie O" - what a great surprise! We are new listeners who love your show and have been listening to lots of your previous podcasts.
Keep up the great work..
