The word monopoly is defined as the exclusive possession or control of the supply or trade in a commodity or service. Our story for this episode exposes how it could be used in the old west and get you killed. Gunsmoke was by far the best western of the golden age of radio. That isn’t just my opinion, the countless awards and citations all agree. The radio drama ran from 1952 to 1961 and starred William Conrad its entire run. Conrad was well known on the OTR platform from his early years as the narrator for Escape to countless supporting roles on the countless show. Our story is called, Monopoly and takes us to a time where such things really did happen. It first aired on May 22, 1954.
