The story for this week is from the greatest consulting detective ever Sherlock Holmes. It stars Sir John Gielgud as Holmes and Sir Ralph Richardson as Watson. It is a BBC production of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes Stories. The program that our story came from aired in 1954 - 1955 and only 16 shows were made. Oddly the show had no real title. It would just start off with no fanfare and launch into Watson’s voice. What I have picked from this short lived series is The Solitary Cyclist. No exact date is listed as when this aired, but I do know for sure that it was in 1954.
I want to thank everyone that commented, liked and tweeted about the third episode of The Horror Express. Even the guy that said vampires are boring. If you missed it you can find it on the main website or just google: The Horror Express Podcast.
