On the show this week we escape from the present and head back to France during World War II. The story is called Operation Fleur De Lys and is literally translated from French as, Flower of the Lily.  Don’t let the name fool into thinking that this is some kind of love story, even though it is, sort of. Our story comes from the OTR series Escape and stars two of the best radio actors of the time Jack Webb and Elliott Lewis. It is a wartime thriller about a guerilla band behind the enemy lines in occupied France. It first aired July 14, 1947 only three years after the actual event.
