On Ron’s Amazing Stories this week we have a classic movie turned in to a radio classic. You will hear the adapted story of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. They were real people and they and had some amazing adventures together. Lux Radio Theatre was a long-run radio anthology series broadcast on NBC from 1934 to 1955. The series adapted Broadway plays during its first two seasons and then began adapting films. These hour-long radio programs were performed before live studio audiences. The show became the most popular dramatic series on radio and broadcast for more than 20 years. Our main story is presented by Lux Radio Theater, is called The Plainsman and it first aired on May 31, 1947.
